Q: Fasting??? Yikes! Am I going to starve to death?
A: No! You’re not going to starve and you’re certainly not going to die! I offer many different templates and “fasting window” options, as well as tips to help stave off hunger should it arise.
Q: Can I still have coffee on IF?
A: YES to coffee!
Q: Can I still have wine? Don’t take away my wine!
A: YES! In fact, that’s the beauty of IF, you can still have all the things you love and enjoy, within your fasting window and within moderation as you work your way to your goal weight.
Q: I’ve read that IF can be hormonally disruptive for women and therefore is better implemented with men. Have you explored this and/or feel it’s true? That is the primary reason why I haven’t tried IF before!
A: Such a good and important question! You are absolutely right it sure can be problematic for women if it’s not done properly, if you’re adrenals are in the toilet or you’re already hormonally disrupted. This is why I recommend women treading carefully and utilizing a coach who’s very familiar and well equipped to help! (like yours truly) And yes, IF is killer effective for men (of course 😉 )
Q: Can I still exercise while fasting?
A: Yes! In fact IF has been shown to boost athletic performance and recovery. I detail this in the book as well as give you strategies to optimize your workouts, timing your workouts, and post workout meals to maximize lean muscle maintenance and fat loss.
Q: Who shouldn’t utilize Intermittent Fasting?
Children under 18
Pregnant or Breastfeeding Women
Underweight or Malnourished Individuals.
Those who have struggled with disordered eating patterns should proceed with caution. In this case I highly recommend the support of an experienced coach. Feel free to contact me for this individualized support!
